If you are looking for a great outdoor candidate then these LDG seeds are 100% worth trying them out. According to the store page it was a one time limited release so I don’t know if Caleb will ever revisit this cross to sell. However you can still nab GSC and Patient Zero F2’s that are still in stock and make the cross yourself.
I popped 2 Living Dead Girl seeds for my outdoor garden this year. One seed leaned Girl Scout Cookies, and one seed leaned Pakistani Purple Kush. Both plants put on great sized cola’s, really good node spacing, and the buds are not so massive that mold/budrot becomes a concern. I used 65 gallon pots with all organic pre-amended soil for a Just Add Water year. They got about 2 months of outdoor veg time from germination, and now in the last week or two of flower they are sitting around 7ft tall. I topped the plants at 36 inches tall once, and they both bushed out perfectly with 50-60 cola sites. I use an internal cage on all my pots and then use an external cage for the buds that need support when the rain/swelling comes. The stem structure and branches are very strong and thick, I had no issues with bending branches or snapped branches after heavy rains. Didn’t have to tie a single branch up to the cage.
The color’s and terpine profiles are probably what REALLY shines out on these ladies so far. LDG#1 the cookie leaning one smells like a sweet hash/kush plant. Has all these old school terp profiles that remind me of OG kush but with a HUGE sweet/sugary influence. LDG#1 is taking on a vibrant rainbow of colors. I’m getting purples, blacks, and gorgeous vibrant/velvet reds all over her leaf structure.
LDG seed #2 is much more akin to Pakistani Purple Kush in both bud structure and plant structure. The whole plant just screams “I’m a kush plant” while it was growing and transitioning into flower. She had this unique quality that I end up finding/loving in kush genetics. She was about 6-10 inches shorter than the rest, she didn’t have massive stacking budsites that create baseball bats like LDG#1 but had the longer bud spacing with giant golf balls from the bottom branches to the top colas, uniformity to the nug size. Her colors are almost more pink than purple, she has this vibrant pinkish hue to her buds and the fan leaves are 100% green. She looks very akin to the Patient Zero pics that Caleb has posted on his instagram. It smells like a mix between the Strawberries ever and grapes. Or if you had a can of Kerns that was Guava/Strawberry mixed.
OH And no bugs, super resistant to pests. No ants and aphids found their way onto this plant where as others in the plot did.
Amazing plants for growing outdoors, amazing colors, amazing terps, amazing outdoor resiliency. I’m glad I bought two packs of these seeds so I can reproduce the line and continue it. She ended up being my favorite in the garden this year.
